Back to basics!

30 minute head study

The title explains itself, but to explain it further. I was doing a 30 minute study on trying to get the planes of the face correct. i see now I spent too much time trying to get the lips right. when I should have been moving the big shapes themselves around. When i started doing that however (moving the big shapes), the form became noticeably better. I'm looking forward to trying this again.

Block Out done

Block out done, ready to HI poly this puppy.  This has been, pretty very exciting. I got a critique saying the legs might be too short, so I'm going to come back and tackle it. I've got to smooth it out, but MAN am i excited.

I'm feeling really good about this right now.

I haven't made an illustration in a long time. I"m still struggling on backgrounds, i know in the future I should certainly do landscape exercises. Nay, I WILL do more. Someone ( a close friend of mine, and some might say my BEST BUDDY) told me i have my own stile. That is P cool, if you ask me. I see some lines i'd like to clean up on this piece, otherwise I'm done for now.
