Test render
Using quixel, heres a test shot of the well with some materials. I want to dirty up the bricks a bit, and add some spacing for the roof. We'll so how it goes, maybe the cavity map will help with that.

Retopologizing this roof still...
So i've learned quite a few things on this Well that i'm constructing. Most notably that I dont think i need to soften my normals everytime. I'll have to check on that, but i feel pretty confident that is the case.
For a quick comparison, number 1 is the mesh unsmoothed, and number 2 is the smoothed mesh.

Well of an update
Ok, so I Tried to do a high poly roof, then Retopologize it. I think it turned out pretty well. Although the poly count came out higher than the one with duplicated Shingles. They both need a little bit of work. Personally I enjoy the previous one, but I'm going to rework this one before i give up and go back to the original shingled one. There some obvious changes that need to be made, but I think at this point I'm going to give it a rest.

Having a bit of an issue....NOT WITH A TISSUE
so i'm practicing some prop modeling as i'm modeling a car, and this issue keeps coming up. and i dont know what to do. Hopefully the wise sages at poly count can help a brotha out.
